Communicating the Gospel in a Pluralistic World
In the Church of the Nazarene, we believe all Christians should consider themselves ministers of Christ and seek to know God's will concerning their appropriate avenues of service. The following course is available for anyone who wants to grow and learn.
However, any Church of the Nazarene member who feels called by God to fulfill a specialized ministry as a layperson but does not profess a call to preach or to full-time ministry may receive a Certificate of Lay Ministry from the local church board. This certificate helps validate the participating layperson’s commitment to a body of believers.
Individuals can receive a Certificate of Completion by request upon completion of the course by emailing DiscipleshipPlace@nazarene.org.
These courses are intended for laity and have not been validated for ministerial preparation in the Church of the Nazarene. Therefore, they do not meet the educational requirements for those pursuing ordination.
